Today my Mockingbird showed up with a female Mockingbird to his feeding territory. From the kitchen window, I noticed him perched on the highest point in the tree where he usually spends time in. So, I came out to the yard calling him and placing his bowl down with 5 mealworms. He quickly came down the tree and ate a few worms and that’s when I noticed he wasn’t alone. His new companion was in a planter making a call sound and he chimed in. She quickly jumped down into the sparrows bowl for some smaller worms. She then jumped up on the fence and my little guy followed. She took a look around and then they were off. I’m so happy for my little guy! All the late night and early morning singing has paid off. Now I hope to see some baby Mockingbirds soon.
